I was much more ready for college and on track at 20 and had more drive to what I needed to do vs being unsure and pressured just following a path in college because everyone else is doing it. Point is many college students waste their first few years on a degree plan they considered and then back track realizing it isn’t what they want to do plus the responsibility taking on that GPA rather than slacking off. It would be overall my military experience to discover my passion for Criminal Justice and meeting with those in the field to have more insight. In the beginning I thought Business and took some classes and met with people who done it afterwards. Even when I met with the recruiter at the office and he asked me what I wanted to do it was the first insightful discussion on how I needed to do some research and figure that out as I worked the process of enlisting.Įveryone rushes into college, but the issue is you will think differently later than you do now and what you might think is what you like may just be not having a better understanding of it.
